SFU to Once Again Host March on the Mountain

69

The annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., will occur on Friday, January 19.

The national March for Life first happened in 1974 to mark the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion on demand throughout the country. The march has happened every year since then with a mission of promoting the beauty and dignity of every human life by working to end abortion. Each year, local parishioners, Catholic school students, and pro-life groups are among those from around the nation who make the trek to Washington for the march.

For those unable to go to Washington, there is a great local opportunity that day, January 19.

The annual March on the Mountain is once again happening at Saint Francis University in Loretto. The day will begin with the praying of the Rosary in Immaculate Conception Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

At 11:00 a.m., a march around the mall on campus will occur, and at Noon, a pro-life Mass will be celebrated, followed by Eucharistic Adoration until 4:00 p.m.

All are welcome for any or all of the observances.
