Students at Saint Michael School in Loretto will begin remote learning on November 2 after an individual at the school tested positive for COVID-19. Students will return to in-person education on November 16.

Saint Michael School and the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel are undergoing additional cleaning. School administrators are in the process of notifying parents of further details. Basilica parishioners should consult the parish for direction about Masses and other church activities.

All Catholic schools in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown continue to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown sends prayers to the individual who tested positive for COVID-19, to the entire Saint Michael School family, and to everyone impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
