The Bishop Carroll Catholic High School Board of Trustees announces the hiring of Mrs. Brande Conway as the next principal of the school. Mrs. Conway has taught for several years in the Greater Johnstown School District and Penn State-Altoona and is excited to begin her new position. Brande and her husband Dan have a ten-year-old daughter, Mollie. She began her term on July 17.

Mrs. Conway commented, “I’m excited for the challenge and change that I will experience at Bishop Carroll. This position will help me grow in faith by watching the students grow. I am proud to be part of a school that has an education focused around Jesus Christ and the embodiment of His mission.”

Mrs. Conway is joining an established administrative team, led by Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Lynn Weber. Mrs. Weber has been with Bishop Carroll for 13 years. Mr. Jonathan Nagy, a 20-year BC staff member and alumni, will continue as Dean of Students as well as assuming Alumni Relations. Bishop Carroll also boasts a dynamic team of educators and support staff, a large majority of which have been on staff for at least 10 years and have achieved advanced degrees in their fields.

The position was filled on an interim basis this past school year by long-time BC principal Mrs. Lorie Ratchford.

“We welcome Mrs. Conway to our great staff at Bishop Carroll and look forward to her educational leadership for our students and faculty,” said Mrs. Weber. “On behalf of the Board and staff, I want to thank Mrs. Ratchford for her dedication to the school and her valuable guidance, and we look forward to her continued involvement with our school.”

Mrs. Weber adds, “We look forward to our families meeting Mrs. Conway. Any family with interest in Bishop Carroll should reach out to the school to schedule a visit. We are proud of what we are able to offer our students and families and continue to develop educational initiatives to meet the needs of our students in spirit, heart, mind, and body.”

The entire Bishop Carroll community welcomes Mrs. Conway to the school, and anticipate her additions, enhancements, and insights to an already established and excelling program.
