Men Seeking to Serve the Lord Invited to Saint Andrew’s Evening

316

Saint Andrew invited his brother, Peter, to come and see the Messiah. Men throughout the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown are now invited to allow Saint Andrew to bring them to the Lord, as well.

The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Office of Vocations is hosting a Saint Andrew’s Evening – a special discernment event for men in high school and older to consider how God might be calling them to serve Him – on Monday, August 7 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Parish in State College.

The evening will include prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, dinner, and an inspiring vocations story from Father Brian Norris, Administrator of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Altoona and Sacramental Minister at Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School in Altoona. Father Norris was ordained to the priesthood in 2022.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about discernment, seminary life, and the priesthood, and they can meet a diocesan seminarian.

For more information or to RSVP, please contact Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Vocations Director Father Peter Crowe at vocations@dioceseaj.org or (814) 317-2681.
