Four speakers are coming together for a unique faith-enrichment opportunity this summer.

A FIRE Rally Summer Catholic Revival is happening on August 1, 8, and 15 at Saint Michael Parish in Hollidaysburg.

The opportunity is sponsored by the Holy Spirit Ministry, Altoona-Johnstown Cursillo, and the Alpha movement.

Each of the three nights will begin with a Ministry Fair from 6:00-6:50 p.m. including local evangelization ministry booths, refreshments, and fellowship.

Speakers will then be featured on each of the nights at 7:00 p.m.

On August 1, Bob Sutton will address “Forgiveness,” and Marci Sutton’s topic will be “Intercession.” The Suttons are members of Saint Aloysius Parish in Cresson, and Bob is a Religion instructor and campus minister at Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School in Altoona.

On August 8, the Very Reverend Mark Begly, VF, Pastor of Our Mother of Sorrows and Saint Michael Parishes in Johnstown and Dean of the Johnstown Deanery, will cover the topic “Repentance.”

The Very Reverend Alan Thomas, VG, Pastor of Saint Mary and Saint Michael Parishes in Hollidaysburg and Vicar General for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, will address “Evangelization” on August 15. The August 15 event will include a Mass in celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The weekly gatherings are free, and no registration is necessary.
