Opportunities to Enhance One’s Faith With Three Online Classes this Fall

The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Office of Adult Enrichment and Lay Ecclesial Ministry will offer three classes live online this Fall via Teams. They are: 
Sacred Scripture Revisited
Deacon Michael Russo
This 10 week course  examines the theological biblical record of God’s saving interaction with His people through His Word. It provides a general introduction to the Scriptures through an analysis of their forms and content.  The classes will be held Tuesdays from 6:00-8:30 p.m. beginning August 18.  Registration fee is $45.
Wisdom Literature & Psalms

This six week course studies biblical Wisdom Literature and selected Psalms with a focus on their underlying message and the literary contribution of ancient Israel to world literature.  The classes will be held Thursdays from 6:00-8:30 p.m. beginning August 27.  Registration fee is $45 and book fee is $20.
Heart of Faith

Adult Catholics must be well informed in the four pillars of the Catechism if they are to effectively catechize children, teens and young adults.  This eight week class focuses specifically on the Creed and the Christian Life and reflects the unity of the Catholic faith as well as the richness of its lived expression in American Culture.  This class can be taken for adult enrichment or as the first class in the two year basic Lay Ecclesial Ministry program.  The classes will be held Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. beginning September 2.  Registration fee is $35 and book fee is $20.
