An update on the story of Linus, an African seminarian who has formed a great friendship with our Permanent Diaconate community. According to Deacon Michael Russo, Director of the Permanent Diaconate, Linus has received the latest package from Altoona-Johnstown, which included hundreds of rosary beads, many Catholic books, religious wall hangings and more. Linus shares these items with the children and adults to whom he ministers in Nigeria, including those in the Kaduna State region, which has seen a series of deadly attacks linked to an alleged effort to wipe out the Christian community. Deacon Russo has set up a GoFundMe page to help with the very high postage costs associated with sending Linus spiritual items.
