Cresson Faith Community Planning Special Divine Mercy Sunday Happenings

To mark Divine Mercy Sunday and special milestones, the Catholic Community of Cresson, which includes the parishes of Saint Aloysius and Saint Francis Xavier, will present the international exhibition The Eucharistic Miracles of the World, created and designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis.

The exhibition will be open to the faithful on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Saint Aloysius Community Center, 7911 Admiral Peary Highway, Cresson.

Also that day at the Community Center, All Saints Catholic School students will be present a concert at 1:00 p.m.; speaker Bob Sutton will discuss Love and Freedom: Jesus’ Mission to Every One of Us at 3:00 p.m.; the Resurrection Stations will be prayed in the Blessed Mother room; and a Craft Corner for kids will be open from Noon-1:00 p.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m.

The festivities are happening in celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday and in recognition of the Jubilee Year of Hope; the 25th anniversary of Pope Saint John Paul II’s proclamation of the liturgical celebration of Divine Mercy; the 25th anniversary of the Canonization of Saint Faustina; and the April 27 canonization date of Carlo Acutis.

The Eucharistic Miracles exhibition will also be open on April 28 through April 30 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon and from 5:00-7:00 p.m. On those days, the Resurrection Stations will also be prayed in the Blessed Mother room and the Craft Corner will be open from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
