Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown seminarian Justin Treon reached another milestone in his priestly formation.
Treon was instituted in the Ministry of Acolyte on October 14 at Saint Vincent Seminary in Latrobe. Treon can now more formally assist the priest during the Mass and other liturgical celebrations.
The Most Reverend David Zubik, Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, presided at the ceremony at which face masks were worn and social distancing was observed.
Treon is a member of Saint Aloysius Parish in Cresson. He is one of seven seminarians currently in formation for the priesthood of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown.
