Paulist Priest to Lead Mission at Somerset Parish

Saint Peter Parish in Somerset will host a mission focused on drawing closer to Christ in the Eucharist.

The spiritual enrichment opportunity will occur March 15-20, and will be directed by Father Steven Bell, CSP.

Father Bell, a Paulist priest, has led numerous parish missions, retreats, revivals, and workshops across the country focused on the importance of reconciliation and healing.

Father Bell previously served as associate director of Newman Hall/Holy Spirit Parish at the University of California at Berkeley and associate director of St. Thomas More Newman Center at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

He also previously served as associate pastor of St. Austin Church in Austin, Texas, and as associate director of the media ministry Busted Halo.

The parish mission will begin with the Saint Peter School Mass on Friday, March 15, at 11:15 a.m. and continue throughout all of the weekend Masses. It will also include the Stations of the Cross on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.

The parish mission talks will be held March 18-21. All three evenings will feature food, prayer, and an opportunity to grow spiritually.

     Monday March 18
     Dinner at 5:00 p.m. in the hall; Mission at 6:30 in the church 

     Tuesday, March 19
     Mission at 6:30 p.m. in the church; Desserts afterwards in the hall

     Wednesday March 20
     Dinner at 5:00 p.m. in the hall; Mission at 6:30 p.m. in the church
