Patricia Leap

Patricia P. Leap, 93, Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at the Manor.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ernest Rudolph and Winifred Agnes (Ryan) Pressler.  On July 11, 1949 she married James F. Leap at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 2016.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers:  Ernest R., Jr., Carl E. and Gerald R. Pressler.
Patricia was a graduate of Altoona High School.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, watching Jeopardy and always being there with an ear to listen whenever family needed someone to talk to.   She didn’t like the cold and always said she was going to move to the beach.  She was a loving and supportive member of the Altoona Community.
Friends will be received from 4 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave. Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.  Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
The family is greatly appreciative of the Garvey Manor staff for their kindness and excellent care provided to our aunt.
