The Blair County office of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, previously located at 1300 12th Avenue, Altoona, is in the process of relocating to a new site in city of Altoona.
During this time of transition, Catholic Charities is committed to serving the needs of clients in Blair County through a collaboration with the Salvation Army, where Catholic Charities will have a temporary, limited presence at the Salvation Army Church, 1813 6th Avenue, Altoona.
“The Altoona Salvation Army is humbled to partner with this vital agency which blesses our community in so many ways,” said Major Christopher Blessing of the Salvation Army. “Working together allows us to efficiently and effectively provide services for those in need, within our community.”
Catholic Charities is grateful to the Salvation Army for its hospitality and support.
Until further notice, those seeking the assistance of Catholic Charities in the Altoona area are advised to contact Catholic Charities by phone at (814) 944-9388 or by email at charitiesinfo@dioceseaj.org.
Catholic Charities, which serves residents throughout the eight counties of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown – Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clinton, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset – looks forward to sharing more details about its new Altoona office location soon and continuing the great tradition of accompanying its brothers and sisters in need.
