From All Saints Parish

A Somerset County parish is once again offering a marvelous summer experience for young people that celebrates faith, ethnic traditions, and more, and includes an exciting field trip.

All Saints Parish in Boswell will be hosting a summer day camp for all students who are entering kindergarten (age 5 and can use bathroom on their own) through eighth grade from Tuesday August 6th through Friday August 9th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

All students are welcome regardless of parish or religious affiliation.

Each day the students will learn lessons about faith, ethnic traditions, and religious art.

This year the theme will be “Pilgrimage,” and will focus on the rich tradition of religious pilgrimages and sacred places.

There is no cost to attend, however since the parish makes provisions for all the students who are registered, it is asked that students who sign up for the camp attend the camp.

Each day begins with the celebration of the Holy Mass. Following Mass, the students will participate in games, songs, religious lessons taught by the Sacred Heart Sisters, and lessons about everything ranging from cooking, to architecture, to art projects such as mosaics, painting, stained glass, and building a pipe organ kit.

Throughout the day there will be games/activities.

In addition to the regular lessons and activities the students will attend a field trip to visit three historic churches in Pittsburgh as well as make stops at the Heinz History Center and St. Vincent College.

If you are interested in enrolling in the camp, please contact the parish office at 814-629-5551 or email parish secretary Emily Marsh at emarsh@dioceseaj.org.
