Bishop Mark has announced the following appointments, all of which take effect on July 16, 2024.
Rev. Jerzy M. Auguscik, OFM Conv., appointed Pastor of St. Michael Parish in St. Michael. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of this parish.
Rev. Nelson Javier, TOR, appointed Pastor of St. Mark Parish in Altoona and Holy Rosary Parish in Juniata. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of these parishes.
Rev. Aron M. Maghsoudi, appointed as Pastor of All Saints Parish in Boswell. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of this parish. He continues as Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Angels in Central City, Pastor of Holy Family Parish in Hooversville, and Sacramental Minister at SCI Laurel Highlands in Somerset.
Rev. Jeremy J. Mohler, appointed Administrator of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Duncansville. He was previously assigned in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Rev. Joseph C. Nale, appointed Pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Summerhill and Immaculate Conception Parish in New Germany. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of these parishes. He continues as Pastor of Most Holy Trinity Parish in South Fork and St. Bartholomew Parish in Wilmore.
Rev. Brian P. Norris, appointed Pastor St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Altoona. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of this parish. He continues as Sacramental Minister to Bishop Guilfoyle Academy in Altoona.
Rev. Michael A. Pleva, appointed Pastor of St. Matthew Parish in Tyrone and St. Joseph Parish in Bellwood. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of these parishes.
Rev. Mark R. Reid, appointed Pastor of Most Holy Trinity Parish in Huntingdon. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of this parish. He continues as Administrator of Immaculate Conception Parish in Dudley and Sacramental Minister to Juniata College in Huntingdon.
Rev. Matthias Rendon, OFM, appointed Pastor of SS. Peter & Paul Parish in Philipsburg. He was formerly assigned as Administrator of this parish. He continues to serve as Catholic Chaplain to Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Saly, granted Senior Priest status. He will be residing in the Altoona area and will continue as Chaplain to Garvey Manor in Hollidaysburg.
