Bishop Mark celebrated a Mass on November 15 at Saint Benedict Parish in Johnstown, during which three men were officially installed as candidates for the Permanent Diaconate.
They are Jamey Darnell, a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish in State College; Henry Escuadro of Most Holy Trinity Parish in Huntingdon; and Miles Palasz, a parishioner at Saint Benedict in Johnstown.
The candidates are pictured above with Bishop Mark and Deacon Michael Russo, Director of the Permanent Diaconate.
As candidates, the three men will continue their discernment and formation journey over the coming years in preparation for ordination.
They join several other candidates already in formation for the Permanent Diaconate of Altoona-Johnstown.
