From Bishop McCort Catholic High School
The Bishop McCort Crimson Crushers have named Dr. Fran Brown as the Head Coach of the Crushers Track and Field program.
Erika Strittmatter, Bishop McCort Athletic Director, says “Fran will bring her years of coaching experience to the track and field program at McCort. She is excited to begin the training for this year’s season.”
Dr. Brown will oversee McCort’s program with Ms. Lexi Regula coaching the girl’s events and Mr. Jose Cruz coaching the boy’s events.
Dr. Brown comes with three years of experience as an NCAA Division II coach of both boys and girls long-distance running at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Currently, Dr. Brown is a physics and physical science instructor at Bishop McCort.
“I look forward to coaching at the high school level and working in conjunction with two great coaches.” Coach Brown adds, “I feel confident that we will move the program forward and provide the athletes with a positive and fulfilling experience.”
