Diocese to Mark World Day for Consecrated Life on Proclaim! TV

The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown will join the Catholic Church universal in observing the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life on February 2.

The observance is attached to the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas – the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world.

Those in consecrated life are also called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all.

Here in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, we are blessed by the presence and ministry of various religious communities including:

In observance of the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, Proclaim! TV will feature the newest religious in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, Sister Dolores Benitez, O. Carm., in ministry at Garvey Manor Nursing Home/Marian Heights Senior Living in Hollidaysburg, on February 2 at 10:30 a.m. on WATM ABC 23, followed by the Proclaim! TV Mass celebrated by Bishop Mark at Saint John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown, at which many religious will be in attendance, live at 11:00 a.m. on WATM ABC 23.
