An annual celebration honoring the Blessed Mother will happen this year, albeit with fewer festivities than usual because of the pandemic.
The annual Birth of Mary celebration is scheduled September 8 at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Duncansville. Masses will be celebrated by the pastor, Monsignor Robert Saly, at 7:45 a.m. and Noon in the church and at 5:30 p.m. at the parish’s outdoor shrine. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the church and 5:00 p.m. at the shrine.
Because of the pandemic, there will be no continuous Rosary, no procession after the evening Mass, no exhibits, or no food this year. All are welcome to attend. Some chairs will be provided for the outdoor Mass, but the faithful may bring their own lawn chairs. Organizers ask that everyone please wear a mask and practice physical distancing.
Please send prayer intentions to: Birth of Mary Celebration, P.O. Box 88, Duncansville, PAÂ 16635.
