The Knights of Columbus, Father O’Hanlon Council #4678 of State College recently awarded scholarships to area youth.
These are annual awards based on academic achievement, community service, and school activities. These scholarships will be applied to tuition for Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Boalsburg.
A total of nine $1,000 scholarships were presented at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy to deserving students. The recipients were: Jonah Clark, Cameron Eby, Thomas Delahoy, Akio Ohmoto, Asa Reynolds, Francesca Mellott, James Weller, Kathleen Simander, and Macy Stickler.
Additionally, two $500 Council scholarships were awarded to children and grandchildren of Knights from the State College Father Byron O’Hanlon Council #4678. These awards are for graduating seniors and to be used for further education. This year’s recipients are: Katia Fuller (daughter of brother Knight Matt Hunt) and Zachary DeCarmine (grandson of brother Knight Joe Rose).
