Saint Thomas the Apostle Parishioner Receives Scholarship

Lea Holler will receive a $5,201.97 scholarship for her service as an altar server at Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish in Bedford.

Holler, a graduate of Bedford High School, is the daughter of Karen and Jonathan Holler. She will attend Shippensburg University and major in biology.

This scholarship is make possible by the Kayla Ann Nicodemus Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund, which was initiated by Kayla’s grandparents, Joe and Ann Kaminski and supported by generous gifts in memory of Kayla who died tragically in the fall of 2007 due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident during the first semester of her freshman year at Saint Francis University. To date, Kayla’s Endowment has awarded 37 scholarships for a total value of $43,247.42.

Kayla’s goal in life was to help people “in need.” This annual scholarship makes her dream of helping people come true.
