A recent cohort of Mount Aloysius College students experienced a weekend Monastery Retreat in Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, Va. The trip allowed nine Mountie students the opportunity to see life in a Trappist Monastery and experience the rhythm of
work and prayer, sharing and silence, reflection and service.
“The students were able to take advantage of a unique experience provided by the college to recharge and renew in a beautiful setting– fresh air, a new area to explore, and a break from their routine which always brings benefits,” Ms. Chris Koren, Director of
Mission Integration and Community Engagement said. “This retreat aligned with Mount Aloysius College’s mission and allowed Mounties to experience a truly different way of life.”
Students were able to take advantage of this trip as a unique learning opportunity to strengthen their spirituality.
