Parishes, Catholic schools, and various Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown ministries picked up nearly $100,000 thanks to an outpouring of generosity in the 2024 #iGiveCatholic campaign.
On Giving Tuesday, December 3, the diocese joined many other dioceses around the country in the annual fundraising effort.
The faithful were invited to donate to specific parishes, Catholic schools, or diocesan ministries. All of the money donated is going directly to the parish, school, or ministry to which it was designated.
The overall diocesan total raised was $96,275.
Saint Benedict Parish in Johnstown netted the most with $39,352, thanks to the support of 275 donors.
Saint Michael Parish in St. Michael came in second with $18,900.
Sacred Heart Parish in Altoona collected $14,604, and Holy Family Parish in Portage was fourth with $8,915.
The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona rounded out the top five with a total of $4,550.
Thank you to all those who generously supported the great mission of the Catholic Church of Altoona-Johnstown through the #iGiveCatholic campaign.
