Three related people who recently attended Mass at a Cambria County parish have tested positive for COVID-19.

The individuals were present at the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, November 8 at Saint John Vianney Parish in Mundys Corner. The church is undergoing additional sanitization.

Bishop Mark Bartchak continues to direct all clergy and parishioners to wear masks and practice physical distancing at all Masses and other church activities. The obligation to attend Sunday and Holy Day Masses remains waived until further notice. Vulnerable individuals and others who choose not to attend Mass at this time are reminded of the live Sunday Mass broadcast from Saint John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. on WATM ABC 23. The Mass is rebroadcast every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. on Atlantic Broadband channel 9.

The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown offers prayers for the three people who tested positive and for everyone affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
