Diocese and Parishes Planning Memorial Masses for Pope Francis

Bishop Mark Bartchak will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Pope Francis on Monday, April 28 at Noon at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona. All are welcome to attend the Mass to celebrate the life and legacy of Pope Francis and pray for the repose of his soul.

Throughout the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, many parishes are planning Memorial Masses for the Holy Father, as well. The following is a list as submitted by parishes. This list will be updated as other parishes submit their plans to the diocese.

Saint Michael Parish in Hollidaysburg — 6:30 p.m.

Saint Benedict Parish in Johnstown — 6:30 p.m. 

APRIL 26
Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Duncansville — Rosary at 8:00 a.m./Mass at 8:30 a.m.

APRIL 28
Most Holy Trinity Parish in Huntingdon –11:00 a.m. 
Our Lady of the Alleghenies Parish in Lilly — 6:00 p.m.

APRIL 29
Holy Family Parish in Portage — 6:00 p.m.
Saint Joseph Parish in Bellwood — 6:00 p.m.
Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Johnstown — 6:30 p.m.
Saint John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown — 7:00 p.m. 

APRIL 30
Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel in Loretto — 6:00 p.m.
