The Catholic Community of Cresson is planning special observances in celebration of the canonization of Saint Carlo Acutis.

Pope Leo XIV canonized Acutis as the first millennial saint on September 7 in Rome.

Nicknamed “God’s Influencer,” Carlo Acutis passed in Italy in 2006 at the age of 15.

He had a devotion to the Eucharist and used his digital media skills to catalog and promote Eucharistic miracles around the world.

On September 14-17, the Eucharistic Miracles of the World, designed and created by Saint Carlo Acutis, will be on display at the Saint Aloysius Parish Community Center in Cresson.

The display will be available on September 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Also that day as part of the festivities, All Saints Catholic School students will perform a concert at 1:00 p.m. and speaker Bob Sutton will present Love and Freedom: Jesus’ Mission to Every One of Us at 3:00 p.m. There will also be a Craft Corner for children from Noon-1:00 p.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m.

The display will be available on September 15-17 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon and 5:00-8:00 p.m., with the Craft Corner open from 5:00-7:00 p.m. those days.

The faithful may also pray the Resurrection Stations in the Blessed Mother Room during their visits on any of the days.
