Bishop Mark has announced the following clergy appointments, effective September 25, 2019:
REVEREND MONSIGNOR STANLEY B. CARSON, Pastor of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in Hollidaysburg, appointed Administrator of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona and Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Altoona.
VERY REVEREND ALAN E. THOMAS, VG, Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Bellwood, appointed Pastor of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in Hollidaysburg, continuing as Vicar General of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown.
REVEREND JOZEF KOVACIK, appointed Administrator of Saint Joseph Parish in Bellwood, continuing as Pastor of Saint Matthew Parish in Tyrone.
The above appointments are in addition to other appointments announced earlier this month, which also are effective on September 25:
REVEREND MATTHEW A. REESE, Pastor of Saint Andrew Parish in Johnstown, appointed Pastor of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Parish in Lilly, continuing as Diocesan Director of Vocations.
REVEREND PETER D. CROWE, Administrator of Saint Anne Parish in Davidsville and Parochial Vicar at Saint Benedict Parish in Johnstown, appointed Administrator of Saint Andrew Parish in Johnstown, continuing as Administrator of Saint Anne Parish in Davidsville.
REVEREND ANTONY SUDHERSON, HGN, Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Victory Parish in State College, appointed Parochial Vicar at Saint Benedict Parish in Johnstown and Chaplain at Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown.
REVEREND JONATHAN J. DICKSON, appointed Diocesan Director of Ongoing Formation, continuing as Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Victory in State College, Chaplain at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Boalsburg, and Chaplain of Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
