On Monday, August 18, 2025, Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy Senior, Madison Koshko, broke the women’s course record at Lost Creek Country Club while playing in a Tri-valley Athletic Association competition. Koshko scored 65 (-6) from the women’s tees.

“On Monday we knew Maddie had shot a really low score and were suspicious,” Chad Walsh, SJCA Head Golf Coach, said. “But we had to wait for it to be confirmed, but I got that text today (Thursday) from Michael Zendt.”

“My round started off a little shaky, so a course record wasn’t even on my mind,” Koshko said. “But as the round went on, I started sticking more approach shots and was able to make some good birdies.”

In fact, Koshko made a total of six birdies and an eagle on her final hole.

“Maddie has been trending up all summer,” Matt Graham, Assistant Golf Coach, said. “Seeing her play, practice and winning an AJGA event last month, I knew a super low round was bound to happen.”

“The round was pretty innocuous for most of the day. It’s hard to tell how she’s playing, because she is such a pro,” Walsh said. “Good shots, bad shots, the expression doesn’t change. She (Koshko) just keeps moving. She had some good shots, obviously, but a course record wasn’t even on my mind. It just goes to show that she is at a level now where she can do this sort of thing out of nowhere. A course record is seemingly always in the cards!”

Koshko’s score was the best for the day. SJCA’s Haden Lingle, Olivia Koshko, Jacob Andreyo, and Tyler Kline shot 77, 78, 82, and 90 respectively. The WolfPack ended the day with a team score of 302, beating all of the competition – East Juniata High School, Millersburg High School and Newport High School.

Lost Creek Country Club is located in Oakland Mills, Pennsylvania. It is the home golf course for East Juniata High School.

Koshko is a three-time PIAA Class A Girls Golf District 6 Champion and clinched the PIAA Class A Girls Golf Championship last year.
