Various parishes in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown will host special Reconciliation opportunities this Lent beyond the normal Confession times and Communal Penance Services.
During this Jubilee Year, Pope Francis is especially encouraging the Sacrament of Reconciliation as part of the many other Jubilee observances.
Here in this diocese, some parishes are participating in “The Light is On,” an ongoing initiative by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, in which Confessions are heard at specific times during Lent usually outside of the regular parish schedule.
The following is a schedule of parishes submitted to the diocese for “The Light is On” during the Second Week of Lent, March 17-21.
