There will be a parish mission at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1100 8th Avenue, Altoona, beginning on Monday, April 24th and concluding on Thursday, April 27th.
The theme will be “A Journey to Belong in Jesus.”
The mission will be conducted by Father John Petrokovic, OFM Cap., a Capuchin Franciscan friar priest belonging to the Province of St. Augustine in Pittsburgh.
Father John is a nationally known preacher who offers workshops on Franciscan topics and conducts retreats and parish missions.
During the mission, he will expound on how belonging takes us on a journey with Jesus and others. Together we will try to let Jesus show us the way to peace and goodness by finding something and some One to belong to.
The Mission schedule is: Daily Mass at 9:00 a.m. with Father John presiding and serving as homilist, followed by a continental breakfast; and an Evening Prayer Service and preaching at 7:00 p.m.
The concluding Mass is on Thursday, April 27th, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a social. ALL ARE INVITED AND WELCOME TO ATTEND.
