The Most Rev. Joseph V. Adamec, Bishop Emeritus, 83, Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday in Canonsburg. He was born in Bannister, Mich., son of the late Michael and Alzbeta (Ochran) Adamec. Friends will be received from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, with a Reception of the Body at 5 p.m. and an evening prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at the Cathedral. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
