Bishop McCort Catholic High School students will kick-off this year’s Mini-THON fundraiser with an assembly Thursday, January 11 at 2:15 p.m. in the Guzzi Performing Arts Center. This assembly will invigorate the student body to participate in raising money and awareness FTK (For the Kids).

The kick-off will  feature special appearances from Tina Shearer our Mini Thon Liaison and a super special guest from Penn State University!

Mini-THON is a student run organization that is committed to enhancing the lives of
children and families impacted by childhood cancer through Four Diamonds.

Bishop McCort students enter into the ninth year of Mini-THON with a goal of $50,000.Last year’s Mini-THON raised $48,000.

The money raised through this effort is used to assure that families never see a medical bill as they continue their battle against childhood cancer.

The main goal is allowing parents to focus on the health and well-being of their child and not the burden of mounting medical bills.

Mini-THON is modeled after the Penn State Dance Marathon, which has been making a difference in the lives of children and families fighting pediatric cancer.

Bishop McCort will culminate with a dance and activities marathon March 22-23, 2024.
