Centre County Parish to Welcome Paulist Priest for Three-Night Mission

“Behold, Believe, Become” is the theme for the upcoming mission at Good Shepherd Parish in Port Matilda, scheduled for April 28, 29, and 30.

Father Steven Bell, a Paulist priest, will lead the mission.

On April 28, Father Bell will focus on Behold: Beholding Beyond Yourself.

On April 29, Believe: The Journey of Believing

On April 30, Become: How is God’s Love Forming You?

Each evening’s schedule is as follows:

6:00-6:30 p.m. – Light Dinner
7:00-8:30 p.m. – Mission Talk
8:30-9:00 p.m. – Informal Discussion

Those wishing to attend are invited to register through the Good Shepherd parish website so the parish can plan appropriately for the meals.

Father Bell leads parish missions, retreats, revivals and workshops, all of which consider the importance of reconciliation and healing.

He previously served as associate director of Newman Hall/Holy Spirit Parish at the University of California at Berkeley and associate director of Saint Thomas More Newman Center at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

He also previously served as associate pastor of Saint Austin Church in Austin, TX, and as associate director of the Busted Halo media ministry.

Father Bell serves on the board of directors of Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE). He is a faculty member for FASPE’s seminary program where he engages with seminary and medical graduate students and professionals on ethics.

A native of Washington, D.C., Father Bell was ordained a priest on June 22, 2008, by then-Archbishop Edwin O’Brien of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
