Diane McCall cannot wait to see Katie Prejean McGrady in action again.
McGrady was among the speakers at the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis this past summer, which McCall attended.
“I was fortunate to meet her during one of the breakout sessions,” explained McCall, a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in New Germany and planning committee member for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown STRENGTH IN CHRIST Women’s Conference.
When McCall saw McGrady at the Congress, she introduced herself and let McGrady know that the planning team had just booked her for the women’s conference in Altoona-Johnstown.
“She was so gracious and was so easy to talk to,” McCall said. “She told me her husband is from Scranton, and how much she was looking forward to speaking with all of us at the women’s conference. I felt we surely picked the right speaker for our conference and that she will light that fire in women’s hearts who are coming out to experience a day of rejuvenation, fellowship, and possibly sparking a greater love of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.”
McGrady is a wife, mom, award-winning author, international speaker, podcaster, radio host, and Catholic commentator on CNN.
Her keynote presentations are among the highlights of the women’s conference, scheduled for October 12 at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson.
The deadline to register is October 1.
The conference will also include the Sacrament of Reconciliation, time for reflection, prayer, fellowship, lunch, and refreshments.
Women are encouraged to register online through the diocesan website.
Hard copy registration forms are also available at any parish.
