Faithful in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown continue to support the suffering people of Ukraine by sending prayers and financial support. More than $8,000 was collected at a special March 25 Mass at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona in communion with Pope Francis and in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and Russia. Earlier that day, the Holy Father consecrated Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The total collected at the March 25 Mass was $8,096. All donations are being sent to Catholic Relief Services to assist in relief efforts. Donations continue to be accepted. Please send contributions to the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Missions Office, 2713 W. Chestnut Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601. All money will go to CRS.
