Somerset Parish to Host Miracles of the Eucharist Display

A Somerset County parish is getting ready to host the international exhibition Miracles of Eucharist.

Carlos Acutis was an English-born Italian Catholic whose life was cut short at the age of 15 when he died from Leukemia.

Before his passing in 2006, he was on a mission to document Eucharistic miracles and catalog them onto a website. He was beatified in 2020.

The miracles are documented on posters that first appeared in this diocese in the Catholic Community of Cresson this past spring. Since then, the posters have been displayed at Saint Andrew Parish in Johnstown and are now coming to Saint Peter Parish in Somerset September 24 through October 2. 

The following is the schedule:

September 24 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
September 25 – After all Masses until 2:00 p.m.
September 26 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
September 27 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
September 28 – 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m.
September 29 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
September 30 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
October 1 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
October 2 – After all Masses until 2:00 p.m.

In honor of the Miracles of the Eucharist display and the Triduum to Saint Therese (September 29-October 1), there will be Eucharistic Adoration inside Saint Peter church September 29 and 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Masses for the Triduum will be September 29 and 30 at 7:00 p.m. and the regularly scheduled school Mass on September 30 at 11:15 a.m.
