Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Johnstown hosted a Vacation Bible School for youngsters this summer.
Held July 5-8, each day of the Bible school highlighted parables including the lost sheep and the lost coin, the road to Emmaus, feeding five thousand, and the parable of the sower.
Crafts included the making of headbands highlighting the things the children were learning. They also made finger puppet sheep.
Other activities were a scavenger hunt and fishing relay. There was also a prayer tree inviting the children to pray for different groups of people.
