On the heels of a wildly successful inaugural wine sampling, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown is raising a glass to another one.
The agency is hosting a second wine sampling on Thursday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in State College.
Wines of the Pacific Northwest will be featured, including Band of Roses Dry Rose, Hogue Chardonnay, Kung Fu Girl Riesling, Velvet Devil Merlot, Spoken Barrel Meritage, and Spoken Barrel Cabernet. Delicious food pairings will accompany each wine.
The first sampling, featuring Italian wines, was held in early February and sold out.
Tickets for the State College event are $50 per person. Contact the Altoona office of Catholic Charities at (814) 944-9388 for reservations or order tickets on-line at https://www.catholiccharitiesaj.org/index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=event&id=8&catid=1&Itemid=672
All proceeds will once again benefit Catholic Charities’ Emergency Financial Assistance program, which supports individuals and families struggling to meet basic expenses such as heating and utilities.
